ANATA: this would have been the name of my band if I wasn't so busy being a lawyer :P

Why I love YouTube…

YouTube is not just about the absolute wonderment of sharing videos and making things go viral, the beauty of it all is mainly the COMMENTS section.

For example: On a Mumford and Sons song video the top comments with more than a hundred thumbs up each were-

  • How to be successful in music:

    1. Be british

    2.Be talented

3.Curse an appropriate amount of times

4.Have 3 other talented british friends

Rsults: Live like a god with your four other friends and make great music

  • paperchased8989

For contrast, how to be successful in american music:

    1. be a model

    2. be auto-tuned

    3. rap about sex and money

    4. have 3 hot girls grinding on you at all times

results: live like a god with lots of fake friends and kill music

but yes, i am american. rock on, mumford and sons! :)

With such comments the whole video/audio experience becomes so much more delightful that it ends up becoming your most visited web address after google. :)

Words of wisdom…perhaps…words of comfort!

Life does not cease to be funny when people die any more than it ceases to be serious when people laugh.

― Charles Bukowski, Factotum

It was true that I didn’t have much ambition, but there ought to be a place for people without ambition, I mean a better place than the one usually reserved. How in the hell could a man enjoy being awakened at 6:30 a.m. by an alarm clock, leap out of bed, dress, force-feed, shit, piss, brush teeth and hair, and fight traffic to get to a place where essentially you made lots of money for somebody else and were asked to be grateful for the opportunity to do so?

Grunge is back on the scene!

They made a comeback (almost 14 years later) with the ‘Avengers’ track ‘Live to Rise’ and now their sixth studio album ‘King Animal’ is set to release on November 13, 2012. This is the first single released from their upcoming album-“Been Away too long”-touché.
…though I am not too sure about how much I really ‘like’ this song, maybe…they had been away for far too long… :/

The most interesting quote from the paper today.

Reviewing novelist Shahriar Mandanipour’s “Censoring an Iranian Love Story”, the noted critic James Wood of The New Yorker writes: “Perhaps we look enviously at those who have the misfortune to live in countries where literature is taken seriously enough to be censored, and writers venerated with imprisonment.”

If only it was not such a paradox…

Psychology of power is such that people begin to believe they have a destiny to rule beyond the mandate of the people.

AND

Psychology of slavery is such that people look at others to free them.
